15 Warning Signs Of An Unhealthy Spine

15 Warning Signs of an Unhealthy Spine.

An unhealthy spine typically gives subtle warning signs long before chronic symptoms appear. If you can answer "Yes" to any of the following questions, there is a high likelihood that spinal misalignment is present and affecting your overall health. Contact the office at 434-817-7788 to discuss how your health can be improved.

Your heels wear out unevenly. This can be due to uneven leg length or stress along the length of the spine.

You can't take a satisfying deep breath. Breath, spinal health, and energy are interrelated. A twisted spine can decrease rib cage expansion.

Your jaw "clicks" or you clench your teeth. This can be caused by spinal subluxation and altered nerve flow to the muscles of the jaw.

You have to "crack" your neck, back, or other joints frequently. This is often a result of areas of your spine that are locked or jammed.

You can't twist or turn your head or hips to either side easily or equally. Spinal subluxation reduces our normal range of motion.

You are often fatigued. You look pale. An unbalanced spine drains your energy and restricts blood flow to the head.

You have poor concentration. You sleep poorly. Subluxation affects brain health and sleep cycles.

You have low resistance to infections and disease. Subluxation affects your immune system and your ability to resist colds, flus, infections, and disease.

Your foot flares out when walking. Foot flare may be a sign of a problem in the lower spine or hips and/or nerve stress in the upper neck or base of the brain.

One leg appears shorter than the other. Many people are told they have unequal leg length but not told the seriousness of this finding. Try this test: Keep your shoes on and lie down on your back on a firm surface. Have someone stand at your feet and gently push your heels toward your head. Compare where the soles of the shoes meet. There may be anywhere from 1/8 inch to 2 inches of length difference.

You have poor posture. Look at yourself in the mirror. Does your head tilt to one side? Are your shoulders or hips unlevel? Are your shoulders hunched forward or is your back arched? If you notice these things, it's a good sign that your head, spine, and/or hips are off-center.

You have headaches, back aches, sore or tender spots in muscles or joints. These are common signs of spinal imbalance and subluxation.

You have constant tension or stress, especially in muscles and joints. Muscles are directly affected by spinal subluxation.

You feel stiffness in your neck and back. Stiffness may be a sign of subluxation damage.

You just don't feel right or you are in general poor health. Spinal subluxation affects your overall health, vitailty, and quality of life.
